Arizona Refugee Aid Trip

Part of our 2021 Year End Offering is going to support the mission at The Matthew House. The Matthew House is an organization in Phoenix, Arizona that focuses on bridging divides and creating opportunities for refugee families. 

The focus of our trip will be providing relief to The Matthew House staff and volunteers who have been working endlessly for months placing 100s of refugee families. Some of the activities may include helping tutor English, making house visits to families, shopping for supplies and celebrating The Matthew House Staff. 
 

Example Itinerary 

 Sunday March 13

• Travel Day

 Monday March 14- Wednesday March 16

• We will be working with The Matthew House, joining in on many serving opportunities. 

• Potential Serving opportunities include tutoring students, shopping for supplies for families, setting up new apartments, assisting in teaching English and serving meals. 

• Part of the funds we raised with our YEO will be used for school supplies for students. We will be purchasing these supplies while in Arizona. 

• We will also be talking time to celebrate and treat The Matthew House staff.
